Dave's been an art instructor for the University of Alaska Southeast 1990 - 2000. As art instruction is no longer considered to be an integral element of public education, evidenced by its removal from any state funded curriculum, it is now up to the educators to take it upon themselves to bring art and artists into the classroom. The Artist in Residence program is a life line and essential to ensure a comprehensive course of education.
